Reading for today: Exodus 14:1-14, 1 Corinthians 4:8-13
“You are already full! You are already rich!” 1 Corinthians 4:8
What more do we really need than Jesus? He is our all in all!
Jul 23 2008
Reading for today: Exodus 13:17-22, 1 Corinthians 4:6-7
“And the LORD went before them…” Exodus 13:21
God will never leave you or forsake you! PERIOD!
Jul 22 2008
Reading for today: Exodus 13:1-16, 1 Corinthians 4:5
“…it is Mine.” Exodus 13:2
Don’t hold things too tightly; everything belongs to the Creator. His blessings are innumerable and He’s given all things for you to use. But remember, even if you think you’ve worked hard for it or you deserve it, it’s all His. Count it as a blessing.

Reading for today: Exodus 12:29-51, 1 Corinthians 4:3-4
“No foreigner shall eat it.” Exodus 12:43
The Passover didn’t mean anything to foreigners. They would just be going through the action. But to a child of God, it means something wonderful. What a GIFT we’ve been given, to be a friend of God! Don’t just go through the motion of Christianity. Come and know your Jesus, and live!
Jul 20 2008
Today’s reading: Exodus 12:1-28, 1 Corinthians 4:1-2
“And when your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you?’” Ex. 12:26
God was very specific in the instructions for observing the Passover so that the Israelites would remember how they had been delivered from slavery in Egypt. The history would be passed down through generations without any variation in form so that God’s power would be revealed and He would be glorified.

Today’s reading: Exodus 11:1-10, 1 Corinthians 3:18-23
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: ‘He catches the wise in their craftiness.’”1 Cor. 3:19
Sorry, I couldn’t really think of anything intelligent to say about this verse. God’s gospel message is very simple. Self-help books abound with perceived wisdom of philosophical scholars but true wisdom comes from the Word of God.

Today’s reading: Exodus 10:21-29, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17
“So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and total darkness covered all Egypt for three days.” Ex. 10:22
Interesting that there was darkness for 3 days and then light (or illumination) came. Could this be a parallel to the world at Jesus’ death and resurrection?
Jul 17 2008
Today’s reading: Exodus 10:1-20, 1 Corinthians 3:12-15
“So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, so that they may worship me.’” Ex. 10:3
Egypt is almost completely ruined by this point. Still, Pharaoh’s heart was hardened. By the same token, how often do we refuse to humble ourselves before God and think that we can handle it on our own?
Jul 16 2008
Today’s reading: Exodus 9:13-35, 1 Corinthians 3:11
“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Cor. 3:11
All that we do in the name of the Lord is based on the fact that Jesus Christ, God’s only son, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and He rose again. If we accept His free gift of salvation, we will be saved. No other conditions can be added to the gospel. If they are added, they are from man and not God.
Jul 15 2008
Today’s reading: Exodus 9:1-12, 1 Corinthians 3:8-10
“The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.” 1 Cor. 3:8
Do you ever feel like you’re wasting time talking to someone about Jesus? Some people may get frustrated not seeing the fruits of their labor while others get the joy when the person finally accepts Jesus as their Savior. Don’t fret! You are doing God’s work that he has set before you.
